Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) are opportunities for upperclass students to live near other students with a similar interest or academic focus. Students in LLCs will participate in activities organized especially for them while also taking part in larger campus events as well. LLCs are designed to enhance your live-on experience as a Forester.
Cleveland-Young International Center and Modern Languages and Literatures Living-Learning Community
The Modern Languages and Literatures LLC is located in Cleveland-Young Hall. This small, close-knit community offers students opportunities to connect with others interested in foreign languages and international issues. Faculty members from the Modern Languages and Literatures Department regularly host dinners, cooking events, and bring in special guests to the community as a part of the LLC programming. The primary goal is to create a community in which international and intercultural learning extends beyond the classroom and into daily life.
Living-Learning Community selection is part of Lake Forest College’s room selection process for returning students. For more information about that process, please visit the main room selection page.
