- Signs, banners, flags or any item that will impede the view or otherwise interfere with the enjoyment of the event for others
- Balloons and beach balls
- Noise-making devices (i.e. horns, whistles, drums, etc.)
- Strollers
- Cans, bottles or other beverage containers. Water stations will be available.
- Clothing or signage with offensive or vulgar language
- Animals (except service animals)
- Seat cushions
- Laser pens and pointers
- Poles of any kind, including selfie-sticks
- Umbrellas
- Aerosol cans (i.e. mace, pepper spray, hairspray, etc.)
- Alcoholic beverages and marijuana
- Illegal drugs
- Coolers and ice chests (including soft sided)
- Use of wheeled footwear, skateboards, hover boards and Segways
- Confetti
- Fireworks or smoke bombs
- Any other items deemed to be dangerous or inappropriate
Items confiscated at the gate can be retrieved upon exiting (unless the item is given to Public Safety). Please note that this is not a secure location, and the College will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
No smoking
Commencement is a smoke-free event. Smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes or chewing smokeless tobacco is prohibited.
Student Handbook
All policies contained in the Student Handbook will be in effect and enforceable at Commencement.
