New York Times bestselling author Blake Crouch visited campus while filming the TV adaptation of his 2016 novel Dark Matter on April 20.

The bestselling novelist and screenwriter and his editor Jacque Ben-Zekry gave a talk led by Krebs Provost and Dean of Faculty Davis Schneiderman.

Dark Matter is being adapted into a television series by Apple TV+, and Crouch serves as a writer and showrunner for the project. The writer-editor duo were invited to campus on the final day of filming, which took place nearby in Lake Forest. The College worked with the production crew to lend space for equipment setup while the show was filmed.

A Q&A followed the talk, allowing students to gain greater perspective on Crouch’s work and the fields of publishing and television.
