What made you decide to transfer to Lake Forest College?
They offered so any programs that interested me, and I was excited to meet new people, but a big thing was the amount of financial aid and scholarships they offered to me.
How has your life changed since coming to Lake Forest College?
I have gotten more experienced in the professional field. It's crazy to think about where I am today in the professional aspect of my life compared to where I was before Lake Forest College. When I first transferred, I wanted to go into accounting, but I didn't really have a good outlook of what that career would contain between. Having advice from professors who know you is very beneficial. So I really like the advice professors give you and like I said, because college is great for advocating for internships.
What surprised you about Lake Forest College?
What surprised me is the overall campus culture. One thing I noticed is that whenever you're leaving somewhere, someone always holds the door open for you, which I think is so cute. Also, I really liked how professors pay attention to how people's names are pronounced and asked for pronouns on the first day of class. That's something that's important to me.
What professional development opportunities have you had while attending the College?
I interned at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and it happened because of one of the connections my professor had. College is a place where if you do well in classes and put in that extra work, it's going to it's going to show, and your connections grow accordingly.
