My life before Lake Forest:

After graduating from Denison, I decided to come back home and work with the Schuler Scholar Program as a Scholar Coach and then a College Counselor.  

Top three reasons I would choose to attend Lake Forest College:

1. The individualized support – having gone to a big high school with limited resources, I appreciate that Lake Forest College has people to support you throughout your college experience, especially if you are a first-generation student like me! 
2. Size of campus – Who doesn’t want to be able to walk from one campus side to another in less than 10 minutes? 
3. Chicago – being able to learn in the quietness of Lake Forest and put your learning to practice in Chicago or beyond is amazing!

Passionate 

What makes the College unique?

The preparation you can receive to jump into the real world is amazing at Lake Forest College. You will leave with experiences in and out of the classroom under your belt that will help you 5, 10 or 20 years down the road.  

Tip for the college search:

Truly stay in touch with who you are and what you want for your future! You are the driver of this process, and it will help you be able to really learn about your next home away from home.

Exploring the different restaurants in Chicago!  

Favorite place in the town of Lake Forest:

Lake Forest Bookstore, so many books to explore and read! It also feels very cozy in the bookstore.  

Fun fact to share:  

I once had a collection of 25 plants in my living space and continue to enjoy taking care of plants!
