Homecoming and Reunion Weekend packed with memories
We may be a bit biased, but we think our 2024 Homecoming and Reunion Weekend was a huge success! A big thank you to the nearly 1,000 people who registered and made it an unforgettable weekend.
We soaked up the warmth and light of the traditional bonfire, cheered on our Forester football team’s 42-0 victory, indulged in Fan Fest’s food truck treats, celebrated the achievements of our newly inducted Athletic Hall of Fame members, and honored the 2024 Golden Whistle Award recipient.
In a surprising announcement during the Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Saturday morning, inductee Patti Timmerman Kunz ’94 revealed she has established the Jackie Slaats Tradition of Excellence Endowed Fund. Proceeds from this fund will be used annually to support the College’s most pressing needs. Timmerman Kunz created the fund in honor of Slaats, who recruited her as a dual-sport athlete to the Foresters, and she encourages others to contribute to maximize its impact. Make a gift to the fund.
Other highlights from the weekend include:
- The Forester Pep Rally
- Josh Moulton ’00 Art Exhibit Opening and Reception
- 15 Years of Neuroscience: Celebration and Reunion
- “Once Upon a Time” Concert by the Department of Music
- State of the College presented by President Jill M. Baren
- Volleyball and men's and women's soccer were victorious over Knox College
