Eleventh annual Glassman Symposium sees record numbers
Students and alumni gathered in Calvin Durand to present research during the College's Brain Awareness Week Robert B. Glassman Memorial Brain, Mind, and Behavior Symposium on November 2.
The Glassman Symposium consists of a series of talks given by Lake Forest College faculty and alumni on November 2 and a poster session where Lake Forest students and alumni present their original research on November 3.
This year, 38 students and seven alumni presented 45 posters total, breaking previous years’ records. Posters included "Measuring Spasticity of Lower limbs in Humans with Spinal Cord Injury" by Hridey Kapoor ’25 and "Linguistic Markers of the Dark Triad: A Systematic Review" by Amelie Motzer ’24, among others.
The symposium is named in honor of the late Professor of Psychology Robert Glassman, who played a leading role in developing Lake Forest’s popular neuroscience major.
The annual Brain Awareness Week is a nationally recognized innovative academic outreach program at the College with the overall goal to educate and engage on broad issues of Brain, Mind, and Behavior.
