Metropolitan Planning Council
The Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC), an urban planning policy organization, documented the great cost of racial segregation in Chicago in its Cost of Segregation project. In collaboration with Humanities 2020 faculty, that project is being used as a basis to develop curriculum for activists and educators. Humanities 2020 also partners with MPC on documenting (through interviews, video, 3D imaging, 360° environment mapping, music, and conversation) the (In)visible Architecture of the neighborhood that is not reflected in the media or that is often lost when neighborhoods gentrify.
