Vocalist's on-campus performance highlighted in Classic Chicago
A recent article in Classic Chicago magazine, “Lake Forest College: Celebrating Town and Gown,” spotlighted a special evening of music and community at Lake Forest College.
The salon featured a captivating performance by a Grammy-nominated artist Farayi Malek in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel on January 24. The powerful performance had the packed audience of community members, donors, faculty, students, and staff on their feet.
This latest cultural event was organized by Bob Murley, investment banker, higher education leader, and philanthropist, who serves as a trustee at both Lake Forest College and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Through his vision, the Murleys are redefining the intersection of academia and community, fostering a vibrant cultural exchange between town and gown.
