Student Government Executive Board sworn into office

The new Student Government Executive Board for the 2023–24 academic year was officially sworn into office during a ceremony held in Calvin Durand Hall.

The new Executive Board, voted into office by Lake Forest College students, are President Jake Sharifi ’25, Vice President Peter Liphardt ’25, Secretary Kate Kiameh ’25, and Treasurer Hridey Kapoor ’25. Outgoing President Gabe Blindauer ’24 will serve as Parliamentarian.

The Executive Board meets weekly to discuss issues that are of concern to the student population as well as issues raised by the Student Senate. Officers serve calendar-year terms fulfilling duties outlined in the Student Government Bylaws, the Student Government Constitution, and the Student Handbook.

“The outgoing Student Government Executive Board is excited to assist the new members as they transition into their roles,” Blindauer said in an April 19 email to all students. The Swearing-in Ceremony took place on April 27.

Maggie Fields ’26 and Savannah Frauhiger ’25 were elected to College Council. Chaired by President Jill Baren, College Council includes representatives of faculty, staff, and students.
