The Ethics Center with support from the Krebs Center for the Humanities and Academic Affairs is pleased to welcome guest speaker, Chloé Valdary.

In her talk "Dr King was a Musician: Inclusion and Belonging for the 21st Century" Chloé will explain that "if you listen closely to Dr. King's speeches, you'll notice he was actually singing. This is really really important. If you know how to sing, it means you know how to take deep breaths and how to listen. These skills are precisely what is needed for inclusion and belonging in the 21st century. In this riveting talk, Chloé Valdary will expound upon the 1st principle of Theory of Enchantment, an innovative approach to sustaining our multi-faith, multi-ethnic democracy in trying times. Theory of Enchantment is a psycho-physiological practice that requires that we learn how to take deep breaths, listen deeply, and lift up our voices in harmony and sing."
