HUMAN Seminar
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Sharing the AI-related work of the HUMAN Mellon grant faculty fellows.
Professor Daniel Schwartz presents 'Generative AI and the Future of Fine Arts: Ethics, Authenticity, and Access Explored Through Collegiate Arts Showcase.
This project ultimately aims to explore the importance of the human, or lack thereof, when it comes to making art. Through a fine arts showcase presented live on the Lake Forest College campus, curated/created by the participants of MUSC 285: Creative Arts Entrepreneurship (Fall 2024), students and I will explore the philosophical essence of what makes art art, from an ethics, authenticity, and access standpoint.
This event is part of HUMAN, Lake Forest College’s grant about artificial intelligence and the humanities. This multi-year Mellon-funded initiative aims to explore artificial intelligence through a humanities perspective, equipping students with the skills to ethically integrate AI into their professional lives with an emphasis on equity and justice.
