Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend the choir and orchestra performances in the upcoming days. They’ve been hard at work with Lyrica guest, Alan Taylor over the past month to perfect their celebration performance of Benjamin Britten’s 100th birthday.

The Department of Music invites you to join the choirs and orchestra on Friday evening as they perform Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicolasfeaturing tenor Alan Taylor. Starting at 7:30 p.m., across the street in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church.

Then return on Sunday, December 8 when the band and the orchestra will play traditional and holiday classics including excerpts from Tchiakovsky’s Nutcracker and Leroy Anderson’s Christmas Festival. The performance will be in the Calvin Durand Hall at 3 p.m.
