One Word or Phrase to Describe Myself: Optimistic
Top 3 Reasons I Would Choose to Attend Lake Forest College:
1. The people! The faculty, staff, and students are a passionate and fun group.
2. The beautiful campus - which happens to be walking distance to both a gorgeous beach and the train station.
3. Dynamic campus community, with almost 100 student organizations and excellent academics.
What Character Traits Do I Appreciate in an Applicant: Open-mindedness (about yourself and others), and willingness to step out of your comfort zone
What Makes the College Unique?: The diversity of our student body is unique and impressive. Students come from around the world to study at Lake Forest, making it a great place to learn from and teach others different than yourself.
Tip for the College Search: Visit every school you are seriously considering, and make an appointment in advance for the best possible experience. Observing a class, chatting with current students, and interviewing with an admission officer will help you understand if a school is the right fit for you.
Hint for Success: Don't over-extend yourself with too many activities. Focus on 1, 2 or 3 activities in high school that you're most passionate about and that demonstrate your values.
Favorite Activity in Chicago: Walking through Millennium Park, where I can enjoy the public art displays and cultural diversity of the City.
Favorite Place in the Town of Lake Forest: I love the the fresh fruit market that is tucked behind Market Square. It's so European!
A Fun Fact to Share: I went sky-diving for the first time in September of 2007, and had a blast! In fact, I may choose to jump out of a plane again someday!
