Our Mission Statement
With a spirit that values the individual, the Office of Financial Aid serves the economic needs of the College community. We do so by providing information, anticipating concerns, and seeking innovative solutions. We invite and encourage those we serve to become partners with us in the process. We take pride in achieving these goals courteously, efficiently, and fairly.
Lake Forest College: A Great Educational Value
A college education — especially a strong liberal arts education — is an important investment in your future. A liberal arts education will prepare you for more than just a job; it will prepare you for the changes and challenges you are likely to encounter throughout your lifetime.
The College is committed to providing generous financial assistance to students whose families are unable to pay the full cost of a college education. This assistance is available to all who qualify and submit all admission, financial aid, and scholarship applications by the deadlines.
Not only will we help you secure the financial aid you qualify to receive for your first year of enrollment, we also make a significant effort to help insure that your financial aid is not just a “one-year deal.” If you submit the renewal applications on time and they show no significant changes, you can expect to receive comparable levels of financial aid each year.
As a testament to our approach to financial aid, the 2008 edition of The Princeton Review’s Best 361 Colleges lists us #5 in the nation in Students Happy With Financial Aid.
Our Federal School Code - used on the FAFSA - is 001706
